2023 marks the 100th year of the Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio four–leaf clover badge. The first clover was painted in 1923 on the Alfa Romeo “Corsa” RL race car in hopes that it would bring luck for a win. That symbol paid off leading to victory not only in 1923 but for a full century of legendary racing wins including four Le Mans Victories, two Formula 1 Championships, one Mille Miglia, 10 Targa Florio and six European Touring Car Championships.

Along with today’s Alfa Romeo competing in the Formula 1 World Championship, the Quadrifoglio adorns the most powerful, high-performance Alfa Romeo street vehicles. These daily drivers honor the long-standing traditions of Italian race cars. The most recent generation of Alfa Romeo vehicles, Giulia and Stelvio, both proudly wear the Quadrifoglio badging. With 2.9 bi-turbo powerhouses, these 510 horsepower beasts guarantee superior performance as seen with Giulia’s category record of 7:32 on the famous Nurburgring circuit.

To celebrate the milestone, a commemorative badge will pay homage to the past while looking forward to the future. The 100 Years emblem, designed by the Centro Stile Alfa Romeo, features a gold outline around the proven four-leaf clover. Contact your local Alfa Romeo brand specialists today at (855) 897-1043 to learn more about Quadrifoglio.
