What inspired or motivated you to open your very own Nothing Bundt Cakes franchise?
I was a CPA, and through my job I relocated to Tucker. I really did think that I would be doing this my whole life, but life led me elsewhere! My niche in accounting/tax was restaurants and actually, a couple of clients had their own businesses so I was able to witness the economics of that industry. One day, I visited a cousin in California who had Nothing Bundt Cakes at a party and when I tasted it, it was so amazing! Fast-forward many years, there was a new development being built in Tucker and I knew it was a great location for something and then I remembered that delicious bite of cake that I tasted in California, and then the journey began from there.

200 × 266What does a typical day look like for you?
A typical day for me starts early and with coffee. I review the work schedule and baking plan to ensure that we are prepared to meet demands. I then sort out my deliveries and marketing plan for the day. We recently purchased a HUGE Bundt Mobile which I enjoy loading up and going around the city delivering smiles, joy, and of course our Delicious Bundt Cakes!

What does being a small business owner mean to you?
Being a small business owner means that I can control the environment that my team and I work in. There are so many hard-working people who rarely reap the rewards of hard work. I make it a point to first protect and support my team members and reward them based on many things but primarily on merit/hard work. When people enjoy what they do everyone WINS including our amazing guests who tell me how much they enjoy visiting our Tucker location simply because the experience is pleasant and consistent. #teamworkmakesthedreamwork

What is the most rewarding part of being a small business owner?
The most rewarding part of being a small business owner in Tucker (Atlanta) is being able to LITERALLY bring joy to everyone in my community.

What do you love about Tucker?
Tucker has proven to be an amazing community, we didn't have anything quite like this by us and the community was excited to have us here. It was the best decision we ever made!

What are the 3 things you recommend one needs to successfully run a bakery?
For starters, understanding financials. It's very important to understand the business model. There are a lot of business owners who can have the financial means to operate a business and hire people to do things for them but it's important to understand the ins and outs of your business. Next, be big about community. This is something that was instilled in me from my parents and it is so important to give back. Lastly, always be willing to help. Those three things can help cultivate a successful business.

What delicious goodies are available at Nothing Bundt Cakes?
At my store, a top selling flavor is red velvet and it is SO good and it has delicious chocolate chips which adds a little surprise to each bite. We also have chocolate chocolate chip (yes, double chocolate) and it is so decadent and will cure your chocolate cravings. Then of course we have classic vanilla, confetti, white chocolate raspberry, lemon, marble and seasonal flavors.

There are four sizes of the cakes. The Bundtini is the smallest and they're about two bites each and sold by the dozen. Those are perfect party pleasers. The next size up is called a Bundtlet which are miniature-sized. Then we have full-size cakes that people love to bring to holiday parties or events.

Where are you located?
We are located at 4280 Lavista Rd. Suite C-115, Tucker, GA 30084 and you'll be pleased to learn that we offer delivery!
